Fleur de Bondt (b. 1989) is an autodidactic artist. She has shown work at galleries including The Art Room, Constitution Hill, ABSA Gallery, African Contemporary, Lizamore & Associates, KKNK and the Turbine, Cape Town, and FNB Art Fairs. She works in mixed media incorporating collage, painting, drawing and printmaking into her process. She is interested in creating alternative methods to create prints, using linoleum constructs puppets which she animates in her process onto paper. She draws from her subconscious with memory, and the human condition being themes of inspiration and exploration. De Bondt has been the project coordinator for the RMB Talent Unlocked Artist Career Development Programme for the past four years and runs Facture Sessions at August House – an artist support group, creating a space for artists to express themselves, grow, and learn from one another.
